He Reached For the Pose

22x30" Ink on the Easel...

I've had this work on my easel for some time now. Each day coming into the studio and looking at where to take it next. It hasn't been a struggle, but I've been thinking more the process of my work. What is means to me, how I feel when I am creating it. Recently, I've been going through past sketchbooks, poems and the such and having a wonderful time reminiscing and reflecting. It's allowed me to see where I've come from and where my interests and strengths are.

Today, when I woke and entered the studio and knew exactly what it was that I wanted to do next with this work. It always amazes me the clarity I receive when I stop and reflect on what I already knew.
