I either get bored with the design or I have another great idea that I want to express and hand out. My journey as an artist
I’ve decided that I am going to document all the events of my life as an artist and blog about them every day. I’ve been searching for something that will connect me to with my work in a more intimate way. I’ve lost sight of a lot of things along the way and a small piece of me has been lost because of this wandering. It’s time to come home.

The process of doing a commission has always interesting and intriguing to me. It goes well beyond just “copying” a photograph or putting paint to paper to make a buck. A commission is a lot like being a private detective; I piece together all the evidence into a visual conclusion. I go beyond just using a photograph, I enjoy the process from start to finish. I learn about a person and interpret that mental knowledge into visual expression with the use of color and composition. The photograph does help with the visual features of the subject, but in the end the color takes the cake.
