Last night was the JCC of the North Shore’s Big 100th Anniversary Gala. The event was organized to raise money for future programming and events and bring a larger sense of the importance of this great organization to the community. The big event had an auction and I donated some art for charity.
I’ve been working for the JCC of the North Shore now for almost 3 years. It’s been an exciting job (never boring) and I’ve done some fantastic design projects, as well as, made some very dear friends. I’ve designed the website and all the marketing materials needed for every program and event. Needless to say, I’ve built quite the graphic design portfolio.
For the 100th Anniversary Event, I donated two of my original watercolor paintings that went up for auction. I was surprised that I was the only artist that donated work. I thought for sure that there would be more artists in the Marblehead community that would donate works.
